Drop Bolt Galvanised 200 mm - Per piece

A drop bolt allows you to secure your gate or fence. Usually, the drop bolt is mounted vertically, so the bolt will simply fall closed. With the ring at the top, you can make sure the bolt stays open when you want it to. Of course, you can also mount the drop bolt horizontally. Fastening material is not included.

Drop bolts

Installing a drop bolt is simple. We recommend using galvanised garden screws 5 x 35 mm. These are full-threaded screws, making them perfect for securing something to a wooden gate. If your gate is made of hardwood, we recommend pre-drilling with a 3.5 mm hardwood drill bit. You will need 8 screws to fix the lock to the wood: 6 for the plate with the pin, 2 for the (included) strike plate.

Generally, the lock is mounted vertically to the frame above the gate. If you want to mount the drop bolt horizontally, you can attach the lock to the gate or the frame. Just make sure the pin lines up with the strike plate.
