If you place the floor connector in the right place, pre-drill the holes with a 6.0 mm hardwood drill. Then you can tighten coach screws in the pre-drilled holes with a 13 mm socket wrench. Before drilling, place a ring under the head of the lag screws, this will damage the coating of the floor connector less quickly. Complete the construction by placing a cover cap over the head of the lag screw.

The fasteners required to install this pergola bracket are not included. You will need the following:

• 8 lag screws M8 x 70 mm
• 8 cover caps
• 8 rings
• 4 wall plugs
