Pergola Corner Bracket Galvanised for 7 x 7 cm Beams Cross - Per piece

Sand the wood before placing them in the bracket for a tighter connection. The corner brackets have 20 mounting holes, greatly simplifying the fastening of the bracket. We recommend using stainless steel coach screws M8.

Wovar pergola corner bracket

If you are working with softwood, such as larch douglas or pinewood, drilling pilot holes is not necessary. However, we do recommend pre-drilling with hardwood. For M8 coach screws, you will need to drill a hole with a 6 mm hardwood drill bit.

The corner bracket is made of galvanised steel, which means it is incredibly strong, and suitable for outdoor use. The 90° corners facilitate the building process of a structure like a pergola. Wovar also offers galvanised pergola brackets in other varieties, such as a T-shape.

Stabilise your pergola

To make your pergola even stronger, you can add diagonal braces. You can fasten these with our wafer head screws. The required length of the screws depends on the size of the brace. A 50 x 90 mm brace needs a 6 x 120 mm screw, A 50 x 150 mm brace requires a 6 x 140 mm screw.

To guarantee straight screws, drill a pilot hole at about 10 cm from the long side of the brace. Use an auger drill bit 6 x 230 mm for this task. The depth of the holes should be 80 mm for a 120 mm screw, 100 mm for a 140 mm screw, and 120 mm for a 160 mm screw.
