The screw holes in the adjustable elevated post bases have a diameter of 11 mm, for this our M10 coach screws are suitable for mounting. A 7 mm hardwood drill bit is also used, this is the right size for pre-drilling into wood when using M10 coach screws. 

1. Preparation

Make sure you have all the supplies you need, including tools, M10 coach screws, 7 mm hardwood drill bits, nylon plugs and any washers for extra strength. 

2. Pre-drilling

.

Before starting to install a wood post, it is recommended to pre-drill first with a 7 mm hardwood drill bits. 

3. Fixing in Concrete

If you plan to secure the post holder in Concrete, we recommend combining our coach screws M10 with our nylon plugs for solid Anchors. Drill holes in the Concrete at the desired locations. Fill the drilled holes with the nylon plugs. Screw the coach screws firmly into the nylon plugs.For a higher clamping range and better protection of the post holder, we recommend using washers M10 when securing.
