Angle Grinder Disc for Steel 230 mm - Per piece
Are you looking for cutting discs for metal? This high-quality cutting disc easily glides through metal and stainless steel. The dimensions of the cut-off disc are 230 x 1.9 x 22.23 (diameter x thickness x bore size). The bore size of the disc is 22.23, so it will fit on most angle grinders. Do check beforehand if it fits your angle grinder too.
This cutting disc can only be used for angle grinders. Make sure you always cut at a 90° angle, deburring or sanding is not possible with this disc.
Angle grinder discs 230 mm
Since the cut-off disc has a thickness of only 1.9 mm, it quickly cuts through steel, and you lose less material. On top of that, there is only minimal burr formation and sparks. To cut safely, we recommend using safety glasses, gloves, and possibly ear protection.
As mentioned before, this cutting disc can also be used for cutting different metals, as well as stainless steel. The slight burr formation will cause minimal damage to the steel. To ensure the best and safest cut, it is important to watch for damage to the cutting wheel and take note of the expiry date. Do not use the disc past its expiry date, or when it is slightly damaged or wet. In these situations, throw the disc away and use a new one.
Also keep in mind that the discs have a maximum speed. The maximum speed of this cut-off disc is 6650 RPM.
Tips and tricks
Below you will find some tips and tricks regarding angle grinder discs.
- The thickness of the material you are cutting should not be more than 10% of the disc's diameter.
- Always cut at a 90° angle. This increases the longevity of your cutting disc.
- When cutting metal, pull the angle grinder towards you. This can increase the longevity of the cut-off disc by up to 4 times compared to when you push the angle grinder away from you.
- The disc expires after three years. You can find the expiry date in the metal ring surrounding the bore. The format is: the first month of a quarter year (1 = January, 4 = April, 7 = July, 10 = October) followed by the year.
