Baseboard Sealant - High Tack Adhesive - 290ml

When securing baseboards, especially high baseboards, to the wall, it is important to use the right sealant. The best choice in this situation is to use a high tack adhesive. This high tack adhesive baseboard sealant is perfect for gluing baseboards, but also stairs, windowsills, mirrors, and much more. One big advantage of this adhesive is that it dries quickly. Push baseboard against the wall for a short time and it has already adhered to the wall, after which it just has to dry. The 290ml tube of the high tack adhesive can be used in combination with one of our caulking guns. The sealant is strong, easy to use, and white, the most common colour for high tack adhesives.

Gluing baseboards

The high tack adhesive can be seen as a baseboard glue in a tube. It is the ideal adhesive for securing baseboards to the wall without using nails or screws. Apply the sealant to the back of the baseboard in a wave motion. Like you can see in the image above, it is like making an s-shape that keeps going. This shape ensures that the top and the bottom of the baseboard are glued to the wall, as well as the middle. Do not apply the sealant too close to the edge. When you push the baseboard against the wall, you flatten the sealant, and it will expand a little. If it is too close to the edge, it will come out from under the baseboard.

Baseboard sealant drying time

It is important that the sealant dries completely. While the sealant adheres to the wall and can support an object quickly, it does still need some time to dry completely. This can take 24 hours with a thickness of 2 mm. During this time, the sealant should not come into contact with liquids. Also, do not put unnecessary pressure on it during the drying period. 

The sealant adheres to the wall quickly, so it is essential to place the baseboard in the right position, as the time to adjust the baseboard is very short.
