Give your toilet or bathroom a Classic look with this Bathroom lock. You install the toilet lock on the inside of your door. The strike falls on or in the frame, as we supply a hook and strike plates for this. This leaves you free to decide whether to install the strike plate in the frame or to secure the hook to the frame. Thanks to these 2 different ways of closing, the bathroom lock is suitable for almost all doors with a thickness between 38 and 42 mm. Because the lock is not installed through a WC mortice lock, it is simply suitable for doors with a normal mortice lock.

Black bathroom toilet surface-mounted lock

First of all, it is important to note that locks are usually mounted above the door handle. The reason for this is that the skip naturally needs a free space to "swing around". As a result, the door handle soon gets in the way. Incidentally, it does not matter whether you secure the latch on the left or right side of your door, mounting is possible in both cases. Mounting is also easy with the included fasteners and supported by useful instructions.

WC skip lock installation

First determine the desired height and, depending on mounting method, drill a hole at 4 cm or 6 cm from the edge of the door with an 18 mm drill bit. Our advice is to use a good quality butterfly drill which you will find in the corresponding articles. Also check the instructions for the correct positioning of the hole! Drill this hole very straight, completely through your door. Then place the overlap plate on the inside with the screws provided. On the outside of the door, using the screws provided, secure the rosette with indicator to your door. The connection between the overlay and the indicator is done via the supplied handle spindle, is this handle spindle too long? Simply cut it to size using a Hacksaw.

With the overlap installed, you can start securing the closure. We supply both a strike hook for on the frame (See image 3) and a strike plate for in the frame (See image 4). As a result, there is a suitable solution for every situation; you simply use one of the two locking solutions suitable for your frame.
