Black Stainless Steel 165 cm Flex Fence Louver Frames for the Garden - 2-Piece Set

Exclusively available at Wovar : flex fence louver systems in black stainless steel. With this black flex fence from Wovar, you can make a beautiful louvered fence panel or sun shade in no time at all. This set contains 2 stainless steel rails of 165 cm and includes mounting material. You can mount 14 boards on these rails. The rails can be installed both horizontally and vertically.

Note: the boards are not included in the set. You will have to order these separately. Keep in mind that they should not be longer than 180 cm.

Installing louver frames

To secure the boards to the rails, you will have to add screws to your order. The supplied screws are only for installing the rails. The mounting holes have a diameter of 4 mm, so we recommend using black screws 3.5 x 16 mm for the boards. Suitable boards for the flex fence are 1.6 - 1.8 cm thick and 14 to 14.5 cm wide. You could use impregnated pine fence boards or smooth planed hardwood fence boards, for example. 

Note: most types of wood contain acids. These can leave a thin layer of rust on the rails. Our extensive testing has shown that this does not affect the strength of the rail and is easy to wipe off. This reaction is slightly more pronounced in coastal areas. Even then, it has no adverse effects, and you simply wipe it away.

Shortening the louver frames

Wovar's louver frames are easy to extend and shorten. You can extend the rails by placing 2 pieces on top of each other. If they are too long, you can simply shorten them to the desired length using a hacksaw. This means the louver frames are incredibly versatile. Louvered shutters or shades for your windows, a wind screen, a gazebo wall, a pergola roof, louvered fence panels, the possibilities are endless.

Note: On arrival, the louver frames may seem to be a little loose. This is because you can decide yourself how easy or hard you want the opening and closing of the slats to be. You can do this by tightening the locknut in the U-profile of the Flex Fence with a pipe wrench. The tighter you fasten the nut, the harder it is for the slats to turn. Do this before installing the boards, as they will block access to the locknut.
