Stainless Steel Coach Bolts
Are you looking for stainless steel coach bolts? We always supply coach bolts, also known as carriage bolts, with the corresponding nut and washer. These coach bolts are made of A2 stainless steel and are DIN603 quality. Stainless steel carriage bolts are not as strong as galvanised steel bolts, but have the advantage that stainless steel does not rust. Our coach bolts are fully threaded, making them multifunctional. In addition to stainless steel carriage bolts, we also supply galvanised coach bolts and black coach bolts.
In addition to our stainless steel coach bolts, we also supply galvanised coach bolts. These are more affordable and stronger than stainless steel coach bolts. However, galvanised steel may oxidise over time.
The stainless steel coach bolts, also called carriage bolts, from Wovar are supplied with corresponding nut and washer. All stainless steel carriage bolts are fully threaded, making them multi-functional. Tap the semicircular head with a rubber mallet before tightening the nut. You will notice that the square part of the coach bolt underneath the head clamps into the wood. This prevents the coach bolt from turning while the nut is being tightened.
Pre-drilling stainless steel coach bolts
When pre-drilling galvanised coach bolts, we recommend using wood drill bits that are 1 mm thicker than your coach bolt. For example, select a 9 mm drill bit for an M8 bolt. For holes deeper than 5 cm we recommend our auger drill bits, these are extra long drill bits.
