Chipboard screws are perfect for fixing metal or plastic to wood. Of course, they can also be used for wood-to-wood connections. However, this will result in a slight gap between the two pieces of wood. If you want to prevent this from happening, you will have to pre-drill the holes. You could also use partially threaded screws instead of these screws with full thread.

Note: Are you working with hardwood? Then we recommend pre-drilling with a 2 mm hardwood drill bit to prevent the wood from splitting.
