For hardwood, we recommend our 5x120 mm stainless steel 410 chipboard screws. Over time, galvanised screws will react to the tannic acid found in hardwood. This causes the screws to oxidise. This does not happen with our stainless steel chipboard screws. If you are working with hardwood, it is recommended to pre-drill. For screws 5.0 mm thick, use our 3.5 mm thick hardwood drill.
