Angle Bracket 40 x 60 x 60 mm Galvanised - Per Piece
Looking for an angle bracket 40 x 60 x 60 to attach beams? With Wovar's angle brackets, also called corner brackets, you can mount 4 x 7 cm or 5 x 10 cm beams. In addition, these corner brackets are also widely used in the construction of garden sheds. The angle brackets are made of Galvanised steel and are therefore very strong. The many mounting holes ensure that there is always a possibility to easily mount the corner brackets.
Which fasteners do I need?
This angle bracket contains 15 circular holes and a slot. The holes have the following diameters: 4 mm, 6 mm, 9 mm, and 11 mm. The slot measures 11 x 30 mm. To secure this Galvanised corner bracket you require chipboard screws for the small holes, these can be stainless steel chipboard screws or galvanised chipboard screws. For an even more secure fastening, we recommend stainless steel coach screws or galvanised coach screws. Below, we outline examples of possible screws for each mounting holes.
The 9 mm and 11 mm holes are fastened with coach screws. A total of 4 screws are needed in sizes M8 and M10.
2x M10 (length 50 or 60 mm)
2x M8 (length 50 or 55 mm)
The smaller holes in the corner bracket can be attached with chipboard screws. A total of 12 screws are needed in sizes 5 mm and 3.5 mm.
10x 3.5 mm (length 40 or 50 mm)
2x 5 mm (length 40 or 50 mm)
Fixing the coach screws can be done with a spanner or a socket wrench. M10 requires a size 17, and an M8 requires a size 13 spanner. Drilling pilot holes is highly recommended when working with coach screws. Always drill a hole two sizes smaller than the size coach screw you will be working with. For an M8 screw, this means using a hardwood drill bit 6 mm. For an M10, use an 8 mm hardwood drill bit.
We offer a wide range of chipboard screws and coach screws, so you are sure to find the correct fastener.
