If you are working with hardwood posts, you will have to drill pilot holes first. You can do this with a 3 mm thick hardwood drill bit. These corner brackets are made of stainless steel, which results in a durable bracket that does not rust. These 40 x 40 mm brackets are also available in galvanised steel.
