How to replace a half cylinder lock
.Replacing a cylinder lock is very simple. If you open the door and look on the face side of the door, you will see a screw with phillips head impression here that secures the cylinder in the mortise lock. Loosen this screw and the cylinder will be loose in the lock. Next, insert the key in the cylinder and turn it around a very small Piece. Now the cylinder will come loose by gently pulling it. Does the lock still not come loose? Turn the other way to let the key fall into the lock so that it does not stick out.
After removing the old cylinder lock, you can insert the new one. You can also turn the key a little piece to make the Black "carrier" disappear into the cylinder. You then insert the cylinder lock into the lock of the door. When you can lock the door, it is far enough in and you can use the fixing screw to anchor the cylinder in the lock again, after which it is ready for use. Our advice is never to loosen and tighten the screws with a drill, but by hand. This prevents unnecessary damage. The locks can be ordered per piece or in useful sets.
