The PZ size indicates the distance between the centre of the keyhole and the centre of the handle hole. In this case it is 55 mm. So this hardware fits a mortise lock with a PZ size of 55 mm and our inexpensive cylinder locks. Due to the relatively large shields, you can easily cover old screw holes from the previous hardware, which is why the shields are also called renovation shields.

For your convenience, we recommend pre-drilling your door with a 2 mm hardwood drill bit. This will make tightening the screws just a little easier. Maintenance of black door hardware

Through frequent use, door hardware is naturally always subject to wear and tear. This product has a Matt Black coating, which in itself is very wear-resistant. For optimal durability, you can wipe the door hardware with a damp cloth from time to time. Should the coating become a little lighter over the years, apply a thin layer of acid-free Vaseline or clear wax to make the handles and shield like new again.
