Plasterboard Fixings 13 x 32 mm - Box 100 Pieces

However, due to the granular structure of plasterboard and gypsum boards, regular wall plugs are not suitable. Special drywall plugs have been created for this purpose. This plug has a diameter of 13 mm, with a length of 32 mm. These white plugs come in a box of 100 pieces. 

Self-drilling fixings

You use these plugs together with plasterboard. With a normal plug, you have to drill a pilot hole, but this is not a requirement for these plugs. This is due to the self-drilling point on the plug. By using a Philips head screwdriver bit, you can easily drive the plug into the plasterboard. Next, insert a plasterboard screw, which enters the plug through the crosshead. This plug basically looks like a thick screw. It has threads and a screw head just like a normal screw. The big difference is that the plasterboard fixing is made of nylon P6, a strong plastic. This expands slightly when you put screws in the plug. Because it only expands to a small degree, the plaster will not crumble. The plug is mainly held in place by the screw thread on the outside. Use these fixings for screws with a thickness of 3.5 - 4.5 mm.
