FFP3 masks are designed to protect the wearer against the finest particles and hazardous substances. It is the mask with the highest classification within our range of dust masks. FFP is an acronym for “Filtering Face Piece”. The number 3 indicates that the mask filters out 99% of particles that are bigger than 0.6 micrometer. For example, the mask protects you from particulate matter, smoke, and viruses. Below are some examples of situations when an FFP3 mask can be worn.

• During an epidemic or pandemic when a virus is spread via air.
• During tasks where the wearer is exposed to hazardous substances such as asbestos, sawdust, or metal dust.
• After disasters that released toxic fumes, such as a chemical disaster.
• In areas with a poor air quality, such as cities with a high amount of traffic or in industrial areas.
