Espagnolette complete SKG** Black - Per Set

In homes with French doors to the garden or in the hospitality industry where entrance doors open onto the terrace, espagnolettes are used to provide a sound lock. This locking happens now extra safe thanks to the SKG CE Certificate on these complete espagnolette locking sets. With 1 simple turning movement, 10 mm thick, solid steel bars are pushed into your window frame at the top and bottom in so-called strike boxes. With a profile cylinder of 30 - 10 mm you close the door perfectly, always choose an SKG-approved cylinder lock from our range of cylinder locks.

Black espagnolettes, popularly known as spanjolettes, are installed on French doors and windows and give a Modern look to your interior. The full length of the construction is 250 cm but can be shortened to a minimum of 53 cm. Moreover, the assembly is easy to carry out yourself and is made extra easy by the fact that we supply useful, detailed assembly instructions and all necessary fasteners. We recommend always pre-drilling the screw holes in your door with our 2.5 mm hardwood drill bits. The 10 mm thick rod and cover profile can easily be shortened with a Hacksaw. The handle height for French doors is 105 cm through, if you keep this, you do not need to cut the lower rod to size.

You start by installing the so-called handle lock, here you should bear in mind that you always have the handle in the open position. The handle is then perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the door. Installing the handle is done with the supplied 4 x 45 mm screws, which can be tightened with a drilling machine. The matching bits can be found in the corresponding articles and can easily be added to your order. You attach the rods to this stool using the allen keys supplied. Where necessary, adjust the size of these rods and ensure that you keep the length to the bottom/upper edge of the door. Then fix these rods, nice and level, using the rod guides. Cover the rods with the cover profiles and then start notching the recess for the strike plates. These locking plates are fitted recessed into the top and bottom lintel of your window frame, the recess can easily be made at the right depth with a chisel or router. This is where you attach the locking plates in which the rods are anchored. It is important to follow the steps in our assembly instructions at all times.
