Since the Rounded faceplate is used in doors that have milled rebates for the mortise locks, you do not need to make them yourself. This allows you to work quickly and install these Extra locks in no time. The backset of the mortise locks is 50 mm, you mark the location of the cylinder lock on both sides of your door and drill it with an 18 mm butterfly drill. You then place the mortise lock in the rebate and insert a sound cylinder lock through it. We recommend using our SKG-approved cylinder locks, so that in combination with these extra locks you will comply with the Police CE Certificate Safe Housing. Fitting a Strike box in the frame

Wovar also supplies you with a matching strike box, which you can place in the frame at the right height. The deadbolt of the supplementary lock falls into this. Simply mark the right place for the Strike box on your frame based on this deadbolt. Make sure the Strike box is recessed into the frame, drill the strike boxes with an 18 mm butterfly drill. Use a sharp wood chisel to cut out the Strike box faceplate about 4 mm deep so that it is flush with the frame wood. You screw down both the Strike box and the mortise lock with Galvanised chipboard screws 4 x 40 mm.
