Fastening Shelf Brackets

You can attach the mounting plate to your wall with 2 screws. You must therefore pre-drill the wall first. The supplied plugs have a diameter of 6 mm. Use a 6 mm concrete drill for concrete or stone walls. This can be found among the associated products and in the range of concrete drills. To place the wall plate on a hardwood wall, use a 4 mm hardwood drill bit, also found among the associated products and in the hardwood drills range. For best results, we recommend using a spirit level to secure the planks straight to your wall. 

After drilling the holes, you can screw the mounting plate to the wall. You can then easily slide the bracket into the plate. If necessary, you can still adjust the bracket horizontally and vertically with pliers. When you have mounted all the brackets, you can push your shelf onto it. Provide your boards with holes with a diameter of 12 mm, so that the brackets fit into them nicely and snugly, with no wiggle room. An example of the mounting is shown in the photo gallery for clarity. 

Shelf Brackets' Load Capacity

It is important to mount the brackets a maximum of 40 cm from each other. The smaller the distance, the stronger the construction. In addition, the load capacity also depends on the depth of the shelf you want to mount. You can easily calculate this yourself using the following sum: 6900/ (2x depth of the shelf in mm). Example: Your shelf is 20 cm (200 mm) deep. Then the sum becomes 6900/(2x200) = 17.25 kg. The quality of the wall also influences the load-bearing capacity. So keep this in mind when placing objects on the shelf.
