This is a lever action flush bolt, meaning the pin that locks the flush bolt is moved by a lever. The pin cannot be moved without using the lever, resulting in a secure lock.

Installing flush bolts

To install the flush bolts, you will need thin screws. We recommend using black screws 3 x 30 mm because they fit well in the mounting holes of the flush bolt and can be used for securing the strike plate. The flush bolts can be installed in mortices in the side of the door or on the inside of the door. Due to its modern black colour, this flush bolt is also a great option for the latter.

Drill the hole for the strike plate with a 10 mm spade drill bit, after which you can decide to countersink the strike plate if necessary or desired. You can do this with a hammer and chisel. This results in a very clean finish.
