Placing a ball wire grate

Placing a ball wire grate is very easy and can be done without fasteners or tools. All you need is a step or ladder (to reach the gutter safely) and the ball wire grate. 

First of all choose the right size ball wire grate, to do this first look at the diameter of the downpipe. The ball wire grate is suitable for downpipes that are 10 mm narrower to 10 mm wider than the ball wire grate, this is because the legs of the ball wire grate are normally staggered and can be pressed in, thus becoming suitable for downpipes that are the same diameter as the width of the ball wire grate and downpipes that are up to 10 mm narrower than the width of the ball wire grate. 

Following this, place the step/charger against the Wall of your shed, Roofs, Carports or house so that you can safely reach the gutters. After this, press the feet in at the bottom of the ball wire grid and press it into the top of the spout at the bottom of your gutter. The downpipe clamps automatically by the curvature of the grating after which you can let go of the feet, thanks to which the feet go back to their original position and the grating is clamped and correctly positioned.
