When mounting with screws, it is important to pre-drill with small screws with a drill bit that is at least 1 mm thinner than the screw. With a thicker screw, 2 mm or more difference is a wise choice. 

Bolting a Storm Anchor to your Beams

This storm anchor has 10 mounting holes of 4 mm and 5 mounting holes of 9 millimeters wide. You can fill it with screws as you wish. The part with the corner can be fitted on top of the beam, after which you screw the part directly adjacent to the corner against the side of the beam. you then screw the part to the wall or post after the 90-degree bend, after which you have a very strong connection. If this is a stone wall, use nylon plugs to drive your screws into the wall.
