This 8.0 mm thick hammer fixing makes it possible to attach beams with a thickness of up to 40-50 mm to the wall. Hammer fixings 8 x 120 mm are pre-drilled with an 8 mm thick drill. Wovar supplies SDS plus hammer drill bits 8 x 160 mm for this purpose. To drill through your wooden beam, you can use our 8.0 mm hardwood drill. After drilling, drive the fixing in front of the wood and into the wall. The fixing will expand and your beam will be firmly anchored to the wall. Please note: for heavily loaded constructions such as roofs, we always recommend choosing our frame plugs 10 mm thick. Because the hammer fixings have a pz-2 drive, you can easily remove them again.
