Then it is necessary to pre-drill. Marking is easy by holding the joist hanger in the right place and marking the mounting holes with a pencil. Remove the joist hanger and you can start drilling. Because the joist hangers are made of galvanised steel, it is important that they are not damaged. In this way you prevent the joist hangers from oxidizing.

With the hole pattern, the diameter of the hole for this joist hanger is: 44 holes of 5 mm, 1 hole of 7 mm, 4 holes of 9 mm and 6 holes of 13 mm.

How strong is this joist hanger?
