Metal roofing screws stainless steel A2 with Shell Lock 7 x 130 mm - Per 35 Pieces
This stainless steel A2 metal roofing screw from Wovar is 7 mm thick and 130 mm long. The screw has a hexagon head and must be tightened with a spanner 11. The high-quality shell lock keeps your roof waterproof when mounting corrugated sheets. Due to the stainless steel, the metal roofing screw does not oxidise and this screw has a long service life. These screws are almost twice as thick as our standard metal roofing screws. As such, they possess a higher bearing capacity. You can easily mount heavier corrugated sheets with a steeper slope.
How many stainless steel metal roofing screws should I use?
Mount the metal roofing screws on top of the corrugation. It is important that you screw a metal roofing screw at the bottom of the corrugated sheet as well as at the top of the corrugated sheet. In between, one metal roofing screw per 3 wave heights is sufficient. The metal roofing screws are only suitable for mounting corrugated sheets or roof sheets on wooden substructures. So not for metal substructures. Make sure that the metal roofing screws are screwed into the wood at least 2.5 cm when mounting. Then you are assured of a strong anchorage. With these metal roofing screws you can mount corrugated sheets with a maximum corrugation height of 10.5 cm.
Do I have to pre-drill metal roofing screws?
Pre-drilling is required when using our metal roofing screws. In corrugated steel it is recommended to use our 8 mm thick metal drill. You can easily pre-drill in the wooden substructure with our hardwood drill bit 5 mm.
