Start by placing the floor connector where you want the post. Then pre-drill where the coach screws will be with a 6.0 mm hardwood drill bit. After this, you can tighten the lag screws with a 13 mm socket wrench. Do not forget to put a washer under the head of the lag screw, this will reduce the risk of damage to the black powder coating. After mounting the lag screws, put on the cover caps and your pergola floor connector is mounted.
