Pivotable Window Stay 180 mm Black - Per piece

To easily open and close your windows, you need window stays. The pivotable window stay is a good option for your outward opening windows, especially awning windows. The pivotable window stay gets its name from the fact that when you close the window, the rod can be turned aside, so it aligns with the window and does not extend past the frame.

In a closed position, the total length of the window stay is 150 mm. When fully extended, the total length is 200 mm. The width of the stay is 50 mm. Fastening material is not included with this window stay, so we strongly recommend adding 4 x 30 mm chipboard screws to your order. 

Installing a pivotable window stay

Installing a pivotable window stay is a job you can easily do yourself. Please take into account that your window frame needs to have a minimum depth of 35 mm.

1. Position the window stay in the middle of the frame and against the window. If the width of your window is 1 meter or more, you will need two window stays. In that case, install them 25 cm from either side.
2. If you have hardwood frames, mark where the screws need to go and pre-drill the holes with a 2.5 mm hardwood drill bit.
3. Attach the window stay to the frame with the screws.
4. Open and close the window to your heart's content.
