This post base is perfect for pergolas and other smaller structures, like a fence or shed. The main advantage of this post base, is that it can easily be dismantled. This makes it the perfect solution for a construction that is temporary, but also needs to be strong. The base is suitable for 9 x 9 cm posts.

Installing a pergola base

To secure the post to the pergola base, use coach screws. We would advise you to use all 16 mounting holes on the post base for the strongest connection. To connect the post holder to concrete, use anchor bolts M10. In both cases, make sure to (pre-)drill the holes. These fasteners are not included, so you will have to add them to your order separately. You can find them in the category fasteners under coach screws, and anchor bolts.

Dismantling a pergola base

When the structure is temporary, for example a pergola that is only up during spring and summer, it is good to know how to dismantle the pergola base. With anchor bolts, this is an easy task. Simply twist the nut counterclockwise, and hit the bolt with a hammer. The sleeve of the anchor bolt will contract, allowing you to remove the bolt. Unscrew the coach screws, and you can take the structure apart.
