How does the Post Protector Sleeve for 150mm Round Posts work?

The Postsaver post protector sleeve consists of an inner layer of bitumen and an outer layer of polyethylene. The protection is applied to the post using a torch. The burner causes the inner bitumen layer to shrink until it wraps around the post like a kind of skin. The post protector then fits tightly around the post, which forms a protective layer for the post. The Postsaver protection sleeve for posts is applied on the boundary between air and ground, which prevents the post from rotting quickly.

How do you Place the Anti-Rot Post Protector Sleeve?

Make sure to mark where you want the protection sleeve to be. Use a marker or carpenter's pencil for this, so that this marking can be easily tied back. You also ensure that the post is completely dry because the Postsaver sleeve does not adhere as well when the posts are wet. The post protector can be slid around the post just like a bag. If you hold a flame to it, for example in the form of a gas burner, the protector will shrink. This process starts almost immediately when you keep the fire close to the bag. Pay close attention during the shrinking process, you don't want to waste a post protector by burning it through. Keep the flame at a small distance, about 30 centimeters, from the pole. Also pay extra attention to the edges, which must of course adhere well to the post. After applying the Postsaver, it is a good idea to let it cool down briefly. After the post guard has cooled, you can insert the post into the ground.
