The Protective cover you are looking at now includes a cord which prevents your cover from blowing away. The Green colour matches all your plants and trees making the plant protection blend in nicely. Frost can cause the roots to freeze, so keep in mind not to overwater your plants from October to April. Besides olive trees, you can also use the Protective cover for palm trees, fig trees and oleanders. The winter protection consists of a non-woven Polypropylene, which is a slightly permeable material that provides a greenhouse effect in the mid-season. Finally the cover is air- and water-permeable, it allows your plants to breathe continuously. 

Winter protection for plants

Before placing the cover over your plant, check that the weight of the fleece does not damage the plant. To avoid damage you can place sticks on which the protective cover then rests. For a small tree, you can attach 1 stick to the trunk in the middle, making sure it will stick out slightly at the top of the tallest branch so the cover can rest on it. You can now tie the branches of the tree to the secured stick, this way you will maintain sufficient strength. For larger plants, we recommend using several sticks.
