There is a magnet attached in the end of the product, which keeps the door closed and opens when you press the door. This is done partly by means of the supplied plate that needs to be Securing to the door. The push-to-open system is used in combination with Hinges without suspension.

How does a push-to-open system work

A convenient list has been compiled for you with the materials required for fitting the push-to-open latch, you can check as an extra check that you have all the tools:

• Push-to-Open Latch with magnet (incl. plate and screws)
• Holder (optional)
• Schipboard screws 3 x 20 mm
• Chipboard drill bits 10 x 152 mm
• Hardwood drill bit 2 mm

There are 2 simple ways to carry out the assembly of the push-to-open system. In the first way, you will not need to use the separately ordered holder.

1. Drill a 10 mm diameter hole in the side wall of the cabinet, using the butterfly drill 10 x 152 mm and drill the hole at least 75 mm deep. The hole will need to be drilled in the place where the handle is normally placed. 
2. Slide the Push-to-Open Latch into the corresponding hole, due to the ridges in the material it will stay firmly in place in the wall.
3. Install the plate on the cupboard or kitchen door with the screws provided, for this you will first need to pre-drill with a hardwood drill bit 2 mm. The plate and the magnet of the drilled-in Push-to-Open Latch will come into contact once you close the door.

Do you prefer not to drill a hole in your cabinet? No worries, using this way will make this unnecessary. Use the holder in the same colour when mounting.

1. Drill the surface material with a 2 mm hardwood drill bit to prevent cracks in the wood. Install the holder horizontally on the side wall or bottom of the cabinet using chipboard screws 3 x 20 mm.

2. Slide the Push-to-Open Latch with magnet in the holder.

3. Before mounting the plate to the door, we recommend pre-drilling with a hardwood drill bit 2 mm. Mount the counter plate with the screws provided
