Push to open advantages

The push-to-open system means that the Closet door can be opened handle-free. Installing a push to open bracket with magnet allows you to open doors easily by pressing against it, after this you can open it further manually. The counter plate will hit the magnet when the door is closed, thus keeping the door actually closed. The magnetic snapper is used in combination with a hinge without a spring. The Hinges serve as the pivot point while the Push-to-Open Latch with magnet ensures that the door stays closed. 

How does a Push-to-Open Latch work

Wondering about the ways you can install this product? You can easily install it yourself using 2 different ways. When drilling the door magnet into the side wall you will have to proceed as follows.

1. Drill a hole 10 mm thick with a butterfly drill 10 x 152 mm. The hole should be drilled at least 75 mm deep in the side wall of the cabinet. Do this at the place where you would normally place the handle. 

2. Slide the pressure clamp into the born hole, due to the ridges in the material it will stay firmly in the wall.
3. Place the counter plate on the door and use the screws provided when securing it. We recommend pre-drilling the wood with a 2 mm hardwood drill bit first.
4. Close the door by means of the push-to-open system.

A next way is to screw the Sleeve for push-to-Open Latch onto the cupboard, here you will need the Push-to-Open Latch including fasteners as well as the Sleeve.

1. On the side or bottom of the cupboard, install the Sleeve horizontally. To do this, use chipboard screws Galvanised 3 x 20 mm. We recommend pre-drilling the wood with a hardwood drill bit 2 mm.

2. Slide the Push-to-Open Latch in the holder.

3. Place the plate on the Closet door with the screws provided. Pre-drill the wood with a 2-mm hardwood drill bit before you start fitting.
