Fastening the Riser for Black Floor Mounted Door Stops on Wood

For mounting on wood, simply use the supplied stainless steel screws. For hardwoods, you can use a hardwood drill bit to pre-drill. The screw is 5 mm, so use a 3 mm hardwood drill bit. With softer types of wood, you can easily screw them in without pre-drilling. Use a Pozi drive 2 bit in combination with a magnetic bit holder for screwing in. This way you can easily tighten the screw with your favorite power tool. 

Mounting the Doorstop Riser on Concrete/ Stone

For mounting on stone or concrete you have to proceed slightly differently. Driving in the screws without drilling is not possible with concrete. For this, you need to pre-drill. The attachment is done in combination with the supplied 10 mm nylon plug. So you use a  10 mm concrete drill bit when drilling. To ensure that you do not drill too deep, you can tape the correct distance on the concrete drill with a piece of painter's tape. After you drill the hole, you can put the plug in the hole. Then place the door stop and screw the stainless steel screws into the plug. The doorstop will then sit firmly and stop doors. The outer screw is 60 mm long, the screw for the middle is 80 mm.
