The Rising butt hinge owes this to its sleek design, where the top and bottom of the pin are completely sealed.
RStainless steel Rising butt hinge SKG*** 89 x 89 mm
This stainless steel Rising butt hinge is 89 x 89 mm (lxw), has a thickness of 3 mm and round corners. Due to the properties of Stainless steel this hinge will not rust, making it also suitable for outdoor use. Finally, the load capacity of this Rising butt hinge is no less than 120 kg per 4 pieces.
Note:Paumelles cannot be reversed, so make sure that you choose the correct direction of rotation. This Rising butt hinge is left-handed. This means that it is suitable for doors that turn left inside (rotation direction 3 on the last image) and right outside (rotation direction 2 on the last image).
.SKG*** Installing Rising butt hinge from Stainless steel
You install this Rising butt hinge easily thanks to the eight countersunk screw holes. These screw holes have a diameter of 4.5 mm. We therefore recommend using our chipboard screws 410 stainless steel 4 x 50 mm.
In addition, you will need to make a cut-out for the hinge to work properly. You do this by marking the outline of the hinge at the place where you are going to install it. Then use a hammer and chisel to make a 3 mm deep recess so that the hinge can sink into it. Do you still need a hammer or chisel? You will find these in the hand tools category under woodworking.
Tip: To make a cutout use our router jigs for hinges for the fastest and best results. You can find them in our router jigs category.
.Do you have a Hardwood frame or door? Then pre-drill the holes slightly, about 10 mm deep. This will prevent possible splitting of the wood and make it easier to turn the screws. Use our hardwood drill bits 2.5 mm.
.To meet the SKG3 star rating you will need to use four of these hinges. The diagram below shows where to place them.
The door in the photo example is a Standard door measuring 2325 x 930 mm.
