Installing root barriers
Installing a root barrier is fairly straightforward. The best time to do it is when you are planting something new. Dig a hole in the spot where you want the plant or tree. Next, place the plant in the hole. You can now place the root barrier around the plant, standing upright on its side. It is important to leave approximately 5 cm of the barrier above the soil. This prevents the roots from growing aboveground.
