Use Rotten wood filler epoxy

Below is a step-by-step plan for easy application of our fast drying wood filler. At the end of this step-by-step plan, your windowsill, window frame or door will be as good as new.

1. In case of wood rot, first remove it using a paint scraper, chisel or cutter. Make sure that you do this in such a large space to ensure that all mould is removed.
   
   
2. Let the treated wood dry thoroughly before treating it. If moisture remains in the wood, you again risk wood rot.
   
   
3. Make sure the wood is clean and free of grease and dust. For thorough cleaning, see our wood cleaners. This penetrates deep into the wood and will ensure that even the last remnants of mould disappear from your wood.
   
   
4. Apply the Rotten wood filler to the mixing board and ensure that a firm beige paste is formed. It is very important to mix the 2 components well, that way it cures well. It is best to do this with a good modelling knife.
   
   
5. Scoop the Rotten wood filler from the mixing panel and apply it to the wood. Don't do this in one go but scoop the Surface area in, say, three fills. This will ensure that the hole is properly filled and that no air remains under it. Apply the Rotten wood filler liberally. When you are sure that the hole is well filled, use the modelling knife to easily scrape off the excess from the surface material. Finish neatly and allow to dry.
   
   
6. When the Rotten wood filler is dry, for best results, sand it well. This will ensure that it blends in nicely and gives the best result. Then finish it off with paint and your window frame, windowsill or door is as good as new again.
