Make a hole about 80 cm deep. Drive the pole anchor into the ground with a piece of scrap wood in the head, so you do not break or skew the edges of the pole anchor. When determining the depth of the pole anchor, keep in mind that the head of the pole anchor remains just above the ground. This allows rainwater to drain well.
