Silver Herakles Aluminium Shelf Bracket 340 x 290 mm - Per piece

The silver Herakles aluminium shelf bracket 340 x 290 mm is a strong shelf bracket. The bracket has been cast as one unit, and does not contain any welded parts, which results in a bracket with a load-bearing capacity of 300 kg per pair.

Aluminium shelf bracket

The short side of the bracket is 290 mm long and is the part that will be mounted to the wall. The long side carries the board, which means the shelf can have a depth of up to 35 cm.

This shelf bracket does not include fasteners, so you will have to add these to your order separately. We recommend using galvanised chipboard screws 5 x 50 mm, and, if you are mounting the bracket to a brick or concrete wall, nylon wall plugs 6 x 30 mm. For fixing the shelf to the bracket, galvanised, full-threaded screws 3.5 x 12 mm or 4 x 16 mm should work for most boards.

Mounting an aluminium shelf bracket

Mounting an aluminium shelf bracket is fairly simple. Below, you will find a short guide on how to install the brackets.

1. Decide where you want the shelf bracket.
2. Use a pencil to mark the mounting holes.
3. Pre-drill the holes. Is your wall made of hardwood? Then pre-drill with a 3 mm hardwood drill bit to a depth of approximately 40 mm. If your wall is made of concrete or brick, pre-drill with a 6 mm concrete drill bit to a depth of 50 mm, and insert the wall plugs. 
4. Secure the shelf bracket to the wall with the screws.
5. Place the board on the bracket.
6. Secure the board to the bracket. Your shelf is now done.

Tip: Use a spirit level to ensure that the brackets are mounted at the same height.
