Stainless Steel 220 cm Flex Fence Louver Frames for the Garden (2 x 110 cm) - 4-Piece Set
These luxurious black louver frames have a length of 220 cm. They are perfect for creating beautiful rotating blinds, fences, and roofs. Absolutely unique and only available here, at Wovar. The rails are made of stainless steel, which means the flex fence is rust-resistant. Added to that, you can start assembling the rails as soon as the package arrives, because the fasteners are included. You can install the flex fence both horizontally and vertically. The boards for the flex fence are not included, you will have to order these and the required fasteners separately.
Note: You will receive this 220 cm flex fence in two times two parts of 110 cm, i.e., the complete set consists of 4 parts of 110 cm. You can connect these parts with the provided couplings. Simply remove 2 sets of bolts and nuts from the flex fence, place the coupling between the two parts, and fasten them. Be careful not to tighten the bolts too much to prevent the fence from warping.
Which boards should I use?
This flex fence can hold a maximum of 19 boards. Suitable boards include impregnated pinewood fence boards, or smooth hardwood fence boards, with a thickness between 1.6 and 1.8 cm, and a width of 14.5 cm. Additionally, we recommend using boards with a maximum length of 180 cm to prevent sagging. Wood always needs room to shrink and expand, so do not fasten the boards too tightly to the rails.
Note: Slight corrosion on the stainless steel may be visible due to the tannic acid in certain types of wood. However, you can simply wipe it off. We tested the rails extensively, including with a salt spray test. Coastal places could strengthen this effect, but the spots can still easily be wiped off. This does not influence the strength or look of the rails.
Shortening louver frames
If the rails are too long for the fence or roof you had in mind, easily shorten them to the desired length with a hacksaw.
Note: On arrival, the louver frames may seem to be a little loose. This is because you can decide yourself how easy or hard you want the opening and closing of the slats to be. You can do this by tightening the locknut in the U-profile of the Flex Fence with a pipe wrench. The tighter you fasten the nut, the harder it is for the slats to turn. Do this before installing the boards, as they will block access to the locknut.
In the video below, we explain how to install a Flex Fence louver system.
