Just pre-drill with a 6 mm hardwood drill and screw the hinges firmly to your garden door. If you are using carriage bolts, it is necessary to pre-drill with a 9 m thick hardwood drill.

Note: for hinges with a 16 mm eye, use M8 bolts and not M6!
