Superglue - Bottle 20 ml
With Wovar's superglue, you can create rock-solid connections in no time. The adhesive is made of ethyl cyanoacrylate and dries within mere seconds.
Superglue 20 ml
Wovar's superglue is a colourless, ready-to-use adhesive that can be used for all kinds of materials. Some examples are most plastics, metal, rubber, wood, leather, paper, and glass. However, the superglue is not suitable for gluing PE and PP plastic.
This superglue has a low viscosity, and is a powerful and versatile adhesive. It is ideal for quickly bonding small surfaces. Due to the low viscosity, the glue can enter the tiniest cracks, allowing you to glue even the most delicate objects.
Superglue effectiveness on various materials
Superglue is a quick-curing adhesive that works on a wide variety of materials. Below, you will find a few examples of the interaction of superglue with various materials.
- Metal: Superglue can be used on metal surfaces, such as steel and aluminium. However, it is not as potent on surfaces covered in oil, grease, or rust.
- Rubber: Generally, superglue bonds well to rubber surfaces. However, effectiveness may vary across different types and compositions of rubber.
- Wood: Superglue can be used on wooden surfaces, but it works best on dry, clean wood. It may cause problems for wet or oiled wood.
- Leather: Superglue tends to adhere well to leather.
- Paper: Superglue bonds well to paper thanks to its porous structure. However, too much glue may lead to tears in and discolouration of the paper due to the quick drying and curing. Be careful and use a limited amount of adhesive when using superglue with paper.
- Glass: Superglue can work well on glass surfaces. However, it is important to note that the bonding is not as strong as with some other materials.
Please remember that the effectiveness of the superglue may vary depending on the surface it is applied to and the circumstances in which it is applied. The best course of action is to always follow the instructions of the manufacturer and to test the glue on a small area before using it at a larger scale.
Using superglue
CAUTION! This industrial superglue glues skin, nails, hairs, and eyes within mere seconds. Be careful when applying this superglue and read the instructions before using the superglue.
Superglue is a powerful adhesive that dries quickly and creates strong bonds between materials. These are the steps to correctly use superglue:
- Make sure that the areas you want to are dry, clean, and free of grease. If there is any dirt, dust, or grease on the surface, the glue may not adhere well.
- Shake the bottle well before using it. This ensures the glue is well-mixed and creates a strong bond.
- Cut open the spout with scissors.
- Apply a small amount of glue to one of the surfaces. Do not use too much, a small amount is sufficient.
- Strongly press the materials together. Keep them pressed together for approximately 60 seconds to ensure the strongest connection.
- Leave the glue to dry. Superglue dries incredibly quickly, usually within seconds to minutes. Make sure the materials do not move during this time.
- Remove any excess glue with a tissue or nail file. After 1 hour, the glue is completely cured.
- Store the superglue in a cool, dry place, out of reach for children and animals.
