Coloured-Head Screws for Trespa® Panels

Trespa® panels can be mounted in two ways. Namely with glue or with screws. The most solid choice for mounting Trespa plates is with these coloured-head screws from Wovar. Coloured-head screws are also called screws for Trespa® panels. Trespa® panels can catch a lot of wind. If you use glue without enough contact surface, the Trespa® sheet can come loose. Wovar supplies screws for Trespa® plates in white and black. The stainless steel, coloured-head screws are supplied in lengths varying from 25 to 60 mm. Due to the wide round head, the coloured-head screws have a high clamping range. This ensures a very strong construction.

In addition to screws for Trespa® panels, we also supply high-quality cladding screws for your facade cladding.

Wovar supplies so-called screws for Trespa® plates in black (RAL 9005) and white (RAL 9010). The screws for Trespa® panels have a standard thickness of 4.8 mm. Coloured-head screws are also called facade screws and coloured-head screws. The screws do not oxidise due to the stainless steel. This gives the screws for Trespa® sheets a long service life. The stainless steel screws for Trespa® panels have a Torx 20 drive. This provides extra grip and optimal power transmission. With every box of screws for Trespa® panels, you will receive a free matching Torx bit.

Predrilling Screws for Trespa® Panels

When mounting trespa® plates, 1 screw hole is always used as the central point. It is located at an odd number of helices in the center of the plate. With an even number of helix lines, choose a central point in the middle of the longest side. The stainless steel screw that you choose as the central point ensures perfect positioning of your Trespa plates. Therefore, pre-drill this screw with a 5 mm hardwood drill. Pre-drill the remaining screw holes with an 8 mm thick hardwood drill. This gives the record a chance to expand.

Mounting Trespa® Panels

The Trespa® panels must be able to work easily under the wide head. Therefore, do not tighten the screws too much. Hand tightening is sufficient. Make sure that the screws are screwed into the center of the underlying construction beams as much as possible. The substructure for mounting Trespa® panels must be made of durable wood. Because the coloured-head screws are made of stainless steel, tannic acids contained in hardwood cannot affect the screws. If you are using a hardwood substructure, we recommend pre-drilling with a 3.0 mm thick hardwood drill.

The minimum distance between the screw holes and panel edge is 2 cm. The maximum panel edge distance from the mounting holes for a 6 mm thick Trespa® panel is 6 cm, for an 8 mm thick Trespa® panel, 8 cm, and for a 10 mm Trespa® panel,10 cm.
