Mounting a shelf bracket

Mounting shelf brackets on a wall is fairly straightforward. You can attach them to virtually all walls. Start by determining the position of the shelf brackets. Make sure the shelf brackets are level. If you are going to install the brackets on a wooden wall, you can now simply drive in the screws. If you are going to attach the shelf brackets to a brick or concrete wall, you will have to drill a hole first with a 6 mm masonry drill bit. Next, insert nylon wall plugs 6 mm, and fasten the brackets with galvanised chipboard screws. This will create a strong connection to the wall. 

Installing shelves

Once you have installed the shelf brackets, you can install the shelf. Start my measuring the thickness of the shelf, so you can select the right size screws. Screws that are too long can come out on the other side, which in this case is the top of the shelf. Our shortest screw is a chipboard screw that is only 12 mm long, so there will always be a screw that fits your shelf.

Tip: Do not place the brackets too far apart, as this will decrease the load-bearing capacity of the shelf.
