Counter head screws Yellow Zinc-plated 10.0 x 100 mm Torx 40 - Box a 50 pieces
Yellow galvanised wood construction screws are the go-to when you are working on wood construction projects. Wood construction screws, also called cabinet screws or wafer head timber screws, have a TORX head with a lot of grip, which makes installing these screws quick and clean. This screw has a wide dish head of approximately 25 mm, which ensures a high clampability and a neat finish. Thanks to the yellow coating, the yellow galvanised wood construction screw rusts less quickly than grey galvanised wood construction screws. However, the screws can rust more easily if you work in wet areas. Therefore, use our stainless steel wood construction screws for damp rooms.
The wood construction screws from Wovar have a TX40 drive. To prevent damage, use our TX40 bits. Due to the deep torx impression and the solid sides of the bit, you will smoothly turn the cabinet screw into the wood. If you want to work even more efficiently, we also offer magnetic bit holders with 2 free TORX 40 bits.
Pre-drill M10 wood construction screws
The yellow galvanised wafer head timber screws have a handy cutting point, which makes pre-drilling in soft woods thinner than 80 mm unnecessary. If you are working with hardwood beams that are wider than 80 mm, pre-drilling with our 8 mm hardwood drill is recommended. Due to the M10 thickness of this cabinet screw, an 8 mm drill bit is required for pre-drilling. Pre-drilling with our hardwood drills is recommended, up to a screw length of 120 mm. If the screws are longer than 120 mm, it is best to use an auger drill bit for pre-drilling.
This 8x460 auger drill is the ideal solution for longer screws. Furthermore, this wafer head timber screw has shaft ribs, which make room for the shaft of the wafer head timber screw. The advantage is that there is less tension on the screw, so that optimum strength is retained. It also ensures less resistance when screwing in, which benefits the battery charge of your drill.
