If you would like to use a good wood filler in a beautiful hardwood colour, Mahogany might be a good solution. Indeed, like meranti, this is a colour that is very Popular for filling holes and cracks in hardwoods such as Bankirai, ipe and azobe. Frencken's Wood filler is of high Quality, dries quickly and is easy to paint over. Also widely used on parquet floors and other indoor applications. When used outside, we do recommend always repainting the wood filler after at least 10 hours of drying.

Frencken wood filler in the colour Mahogany

As mentioned, this case involves the colour Mahogany. This is a Popular Wood colour and is widely used when filling various hardwoods and other dark pieces of wood. If it comes into frequent contact with sunlight, it will start to grey out just like other wood. For Exterior Applications, we therefore recommend treating it together with the rest of the wood with, for example, a Stain or Oil. The colour Mahogany is slightly lighter and more reddish than its well-known counterpart Meranti.

Applying Frencken's Wood filler - This is how to do it!

Before you start applying the wood filler itself, we recommend preparing the surface material properly. This is because it should be free of moisture, dirt and grease. If necessary, you can use a wood cleaner for this. Then you can easily apply the wood filler using, for example, a spatula or putty knife. You can easily order these in our webshop. In some cases, for larger holes, it is better to apply several layers until the right thickness is reached. After drying for 10 hours, it is possible to repaint the wood filler.
