Wood filler Meranti Can 125 ml

Frencken wood filler, better known as mouldable wood, in the colour Meranti is perfect for sealing and filling holes and cracks in your (tempered) wood. Professionals often choose this brand of wood filler for a reason. Available in various colours and packaging. Meranti is a popular colour, especially when treating hardwood such as Bankirai or ipe, for example. This wood filler dries quickly and lasts a long time. After about 10 hours, it is repaintable with both water-based and turpentine-based products. Frencken's kneadable Wood filler can be used both indoors and outdoors. If you use it outside, we do recommend finishing it by putting a stain or paint over it.

The colour meranti is very Popular when used on Hardwood. The choice then often falls on this colour or the colour Mahogany. The colour remains the same indoors for an incredibly long time. However, it can grey out outdoors. It will then usually grey out fairly similarly to the wood. To prevent this, you can choose to treat the wood with a paint or Hardwood Oil, for example.

Using mouldable wood filler

Before using mouldable wood filler, it is first important to prepare the surface material. This is because it should be dry, dust-free and grease-free. If necessary, clean it first with, for example, a wood cleaner. Then use a spatula or putty knife to apply the Wood filler in one or more layers, depending on the size of the Surface area to be filled. Remove wet residues as soon as possible with a dry cloth. Cured residues can be removed mechanically. After 10 hours the surface can be repainted.
