Wovar foil insulation 1.5m x 25m for roof and wall
Are you also so shocked by energy prices and want to save big on your next financial statement? At Wovar, we now have the solution in our range for you! Our two-layer Wovar foil insulation suitable for both closed roofs and building supplies is the perfect way to improve your insulation value and reduce heat loss. This will save you many euros on an annual basis. It also provides cooling in summer by better retaining the cold air from your air conditioner, so the air conditioner does not have to cool as much.
This two-layer foil insulation comes in rolls of 1.5 metres wide and 25 metres long and has a Surface area of 37.5 m2. This foil is composed of two layers of bubble foil with a heat reflective layer on both sides. This makes it perfect as additional insulation on the inside of roofs and in walls. You can also easily apply this foil to internal walls (between battens) to quickly and economically add an extra layer of insulation indoors. This is because it prevents heat loss and thus keeps your energy bills low. Our Wovar foil insulation has almost comparable insulation (U-value) and is many times cheaper to apply to your walls than replacing all the glass in your home. This foil also retains heat very well, which means you don't need to use the air conditioning as much in summer, thus saving you double on your energy bill.
Installation foil indoors
First apply a wooden framework (batten thickness) to the (interior) wall, this is also called a wooden skeleton. After this you can install the foil insulation. Apply the foil from left to right. Always start at the bottom. Secure the foil with stainless steel staples minimum length of 20 mm. Shoot a staple every 250 mm.
For the overlap, use foil glue from a tube. Always eliminate seams and staples with our special foil tape.
Always make sure there is an overlap of 100 - 150 mm
. Use a handy Snap-off knife to cut the foil to size. Because the adhesive is supplied in handy tubes, applying the glue using a caulking gun is a useful task.
Applying foil to closed roofs
The same applies for your roof; you attach this foil to the inside of your roof. You can do this by first installing a wooden framework on the underside of your existing roof (if the framework has been removed, otherwise you can skip this step). Then you can install the foil insulation.
Because the glue is supplied in useful tubes, applying the glue using a caulking gun is handy to do.
